What is the 11+ Grammar Exam?
The 11+ Grammar exam is an optional exam taken by Year 6 students (at the very beginning of the academic year), and it is used to rank students applying for a grammar school place as their Secondary school placement.

The 11+ exam paper consists of four different elements: maths; English; verbal reasoning (VR) and non-verbal reasoning (NVR).

The online class is an in-depth skills class for the 11 plus preparation. This online environment is ideal for students and families wishing to for comprehensive, term-time live lessons with their 11+ tutor, but who may not be able to travel to in-person lessons each week.
Learning alongside other Year 5 students, in a small class of 6, creates a lovely sense of camaraderie over the academic year and allows the students to learn from one another.
If you would prefer, families can choose from the Online Only option (at a reduced monthly cost), meaning that you can complete the weekly lesson at a time to suit you, whilst still benefiting from weekly marked homework and ongoing 11+ support.

Year 5 Summer Booster 11+ Class
11 Plus Warwickshire/West Midlands Exam
This booster revision course is ideal for students wishing to refine their 11 plus skills during the summer holidays with targeted revision ahead of the September exam. Revise key verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning techniques, 11+ level vocabulary skills and maths reasoning skills.
You will receive expert 11 plus tuition across five consectutive days. The small class numbers of 6 mean that each student will be provided with that crucial individual support wihilst benefitting from learning alongside other 11+ students. The sessions are focused and supportive, culminating in a mini-practice test on day five.

How do I book onto a class?
Simply send an email or complete the waiting list form. I will then promptly be in contact to organise a place for your child on your chosen class.

Will my child miss out on the learning if they can’t attend a lesson?
If your child can’t make the in-person or live online lesson that week there is no need to worry about missing out on learning. Recorded lessons of the learning are provided each week for students to catch up on their own time.

What platform do you use for your live online lessons?
Zoom is used for all live lessons, in my Zoom Teaching Room.

What resources will be needed for the classes?
This would depend on the class, and full details are shared ahead of the class commencing. 11+ classes require the purchase of a small number of CGP books. Sometimes we will use my own resources. These are uploaded ahead of time and downloadable via my student management system.

Will there be homework set each week?
Homework requirements are different, dependent on your class. Full details are shared once you are booked onto a class. Y5 11+ classes require regular, independent homework to be completed. Other classes provide optional activities that students can complete independently if they wish to.
Are there lessons in the school holidays?
Recorded lessons are provided for the weekly Y5 and Y4 11+ classes in the school holidays. Full details of the dates and frequency are provided in the class brochures. Notifications of breaks for holidays, or recorded lessons during the holidays, are sent out to parents ahead of time.

Is there a cancellation charge if I wish to cancel my child's place in the class, and do you need notice?
I build strong relationships with all my 11+ families and on the odd occasion that students wish to leave the class, I ask that you kindly give 4 week's notice (and your child is welcome to attend those lessons if they wish).
If I suggest that your child is struggling with the 11+ level work, and therefore that the 11 plus may not be suitable for them, there is no notice period payment required.
